More information about this project

The Youth Cancer Trust is a charity based in the Bournemouth area, who do incredible work supporting young people across the UK who are experiencing adversity and difficulties in their personal journeys with cancer. The charity had the initial idea to create a simple flash mob, as a positive activity to include people in the charity. However this idea soon grew bigger, and MBN ARTS’s Managing Director Mike Ness was approached to support as a co-creative Director on a larger vision, alongside other creative professionals.

A wide variety of creatives and performers, professionals and volunteers came together from different locations in the country, seeing the development and final realisation of a fantastic production. The film communicated the concepts of isolation, bravery, togetherness and unity. Many children and young people play their part, and no one expected this project to grow as big as it did.

In 2019 the film was entered into the UK Film Charity Awards and achieved second place. A huge achievement for all involved, and all we can say is thank you to the Youth Cancer Trust, for all the amazing stuff you done over the years for so many.
