My son has been at MBN for three months and it’s been by far the best placement he’s ever had! He feels truly valued by all of the fun, friendly and nurturing staff. He enjoys all of the creative activities made available to him and looks forward to coming into MBN every day! As a parent who’s been at her wits end with previous placements, I can recommend MBN wholeheartedly. It’s been like a breath of fresh air for our family! We feel supported and listened to on a daily basis and communication between MBN and home has been outstanding!
A++++ would highly recommend this alternative provision. They have helped my daughter hugely and always offering new opportunities. Staff are kind and considerate and will work very closely with parents to best support the young individuals
MBN Arts has been amazing for my daughter. The care and support we all received as a family has been above and beyond. Being in this environment was incredibly beneficial and provided the structure my daughter needs. The staff were very understanding and did everything they could to make it a safe and fun place to be. I would recommend MBN 100%. Mike and Nicole are fantastic.
The Handy Trust have been lucky enough to have MBN Arts provide workshops and murals for us twice. Mike is amazing with the young people, he connects with them very well and they engage well as a result, and you can see their inspiration light up! Him and any colleagues we have met are incredibly talented and our Hythe youth club building now looks amazing thanks to them and has a legacy for the young people involved, as well as space for future additions to the walls from new young people. We are already looking to book MBN Arts again soon for a new project we are working on.

My son has flourished since starting at this alternative provision. The group is small, very different to other AP’s, in terms of what they offer. Mike and Nicole who set this provision up have such creative vision, my child is treated as an individual and is allowed to work at their own pace, with calm and gentle guidance. He has been able to work towards his art’s accreditation and mathematics/English functional skills. 1:1 tutoring and small group tutoring are available. I can’t thank this AP enough, for all the support they’ve given my son, to see him go happily into education daily again, is truly amazing after 2 years out of education.
Our experience with MBN Arts was brilliant. Mike facilitated a series of graffiti workshops with a group of young people from our youth club, and throughout the sessions he engaged exceptionally well with some of our most vulnerable and challenging individuals.
The workshops were well structured, covering the history of graffiti, basic spray-painting skills, and creative methods that encouraged our young people to express themselves. They were able to create their own artwork on canvases to take home, which they were incredibly proud of.
Mike also supported the group to design and paint a mural for our youth club building — and the results are outstanding. The mural has become a landmark of our organisation and has given the young people a real sense of ownership and shared achievement.I would highly recommend Mike and his team to anyone looking for workshops delivered with passion, creativity, and professionalism. MBN Arts is an inclusive, person centred provision, who work hard to continually meet the changing needs of the people who attend. They are caring and supportive, and adapt their approach to tailor the sessions to the people who attend, working through any challenges proactively and objectively.
