

Overview
We are looking for tutors who are able to competently and receptively deliver both English and Maths tuition to support children and young people with a variety of wellbeing and educational needs. Building their knowledge and skillsets in a these core subjects and preparing, enabling and guiding some through GCSE and Functional Skills examinations.
Duties
- Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions
- Develop individualised learning plans based on students’ individual needs
- Assist students in understanding subject-specific content
- Provide feedback to students and parents on progress
- Utilise various teaching methods to engage students
- Support students with special education needs
Mandatory
- Able to deliver GCSE English and Mathematics,
- Able to deliver level 1-2 Functional Skills in English and Mathematics
- Enhanced DBS – On Update Service
- Self Employed
- PLI Insurance
Desired
- Experience working within alternative provision setting (this is not compulsory)
- Experience working with children
- Experience working with SEND – a high number of young people here have Autism, ADHD and other learning difficulties
- Comfortable working in an environment around other coaches and other young people
- Proficiency in tutoring and educating students
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous
- An interest in Art and creative pathways is preferred
Pay
- £30 – £40/hr 1:1 session
