What is the Preparing for Adulthood programme?

The preparing for adulthood programme is designed to help young people to focus on key areas in both their personal skills and life skills they need to thrive in the next exciting step forward into their future. The environment provides individuals a safe space to explore these ‘daunting’ topics. Students will have 1 to 1 and small group sessions, tailored to their identified educational and SEMH needs and individual abilities. Participants focus on key areas such as health & wellbeing, independent travel, cooking on a budget, money management, finding their own place, entering the world of work and digital skills — each module tailored to their strengths, circumstances and aspirations and aligned with their EHCP or placement plan outcomes.
