More information about this project

Innovation meets creativity as our young people tackle design challenges through a diverse range of projects, from badge making and decorative wreaths to mechanical objects and functional prototypes. Students develop problem-solving skills and technical thinking while exploring how design can combine aesthetic appeal with practical purpose, learning to plan, prototype, and refine their creations through hands-on experimentation.

Whether they’re engineering moving mechanisms, designing custom badges, or creating decorative functional items, design technology encourages students to think systematically about materials, processes, and user needs. The iterative nature of design work helps students develop resilience and analytical thinking, celebrating both creative breakthroughs and technical solutions that demonstrate how thoughtful design can enhance everyday life and personal expression.

“To practise any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow.”
