More info on the project

In our fast-paced world, we sometimes struggle to just stop, and look around. Sometimes things are hidden right before our eyes, and this is exactly what ALFSTAR  from Jewell Academy discovered, on his 10 week Type and Space Film Project.

He set himself the challenge to explore his school, looking closely at the buildings, the outdoor areas, and all elements they are constructed from, to see if he could find each letter of the alphabet, abstractly within them.

Not only did he achieve this, but with incredible determination and belief in himself, he produced two beautifully filmed final outcomes, seeing him storyboard, film, edit and narrate. Also linking each letter to a self reflective word regarding himself, which allowed him to explore his thoughts and emotional vocabulary.

We have been blown away by what he’s achieved and are very proud.

“To practise any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow.”
