Carvers Skate Park Mural Project

MBN ARTS were approached by Ringwood Town Council in Hampshire, to deliver a creative project for young people who used their centre. The aims were to provide street art activities to upskill and engage the young people, to then design and paint a final mural on the front of their skatepark. The activities included stencil painting, model making and learning the key spray painting techniques for large scale designs.

The young people then created concept illustrations to inspire the final mural design for their skatepark. The concepts focussed on skateboarding, scooter riding and mountain biking, as the young people who used the skatepark participated in these activities. A select group was then chosen for the final day of painting, seeing them use their new spray painting skillsets to complete the mural. The MBN ARTS team, supported the group throughout and at the end tidied up the design with extra details.
