New Milton Youth Trust Mural Project

MBN ARTS were approached by the organisation New Milton Youth Trust in Hampshire, to deliver a creative project for young people who used their centre. The aims were to provide street art activities to upskill and engage the young people, to then design and paint a final mural on the front of their centre. The activities included stencil painting, model making, learning the key spray painting techniques for large scale designs, as well as participating in a music production workshop.

The young people then created concept illustrations to inspire the final mural design for their youth centre’s internal walls. The ideas communicated a variety of activities and topics the young people associated with their youth centre. A select group was then chosen for the final day of painting, seeing them use their new spray painting skillsets to complete the mural. The MBN ARTS team, supported the group throughout and at the end tidied up the design with extra details.
