Silkscreen Printing

To finish a six week project in customisation and textiles for students from a local school, the boys had the opportunity to design and print their own T-shirts, using the creative process of silkscreen printing. Having already completed a six-week course in street art and graffiti, they now had experience in conceptualising and illustrating their own characters. These designs were originally drawn by hand, then digitally illustrated again using Adobe Illustrator.

The final realisation of their designs was achieved whilst visiting a silkscreen printing company whom we collaborate with. The students learnt all about the equipment in the process, and each participated in all aspects of production,  until the were all the owners of their own custom clothing. Smashed it!
