The Shields of Heatherlands

Our first collaboration with the school, saw 90 of their year 4 students take on the challenge of a huge 4 day project! Starting with a guided tour of a variety of large-scale spray painted murals around Bournemouth to inspire them for their project. Next a day exploring the essential skills of the art medium through a range of creative activities, including hitting our 55ft external painting wall at our studio. Back to the school, where the students experimented painting stencils with different textures and effects, and combined them with paint pens to add the final details.

Using all these skills they had gained over the last few days, it was time to put them to the test, and to create three large spray-painted shields for their school houses!
